Last night, I had an opportunity to be part of a great event: The Silly Walk for Hunger. The event was a flashmob organized MashCast.com, The Jon Lovitz Comedy Club and Superstar choreographers Rich&Tone Productions, and was held at the Universal Studios City Walk. The event was held yesterday to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Monty Python and to collect food and proceeds which go directly to the LA food banks to ensure that everybody has a food-filled Thanksgiving.

With over 500 very dedicated dancers, of all skill levels and ages, who volunteered their time the past week to learn the dance thoughtfully choreographed by Rich & Tone Productions, a full production crew on hand to capture the event, and hundreds of interested spectators, the event was definitely a success, and fun for everybody who was part of it.

It was great to see some familiar faces there dancing or taking photos as usual Marc Salsberry was on hand to shoot the event like he does. I went to the event along with the homie, Anthony who has some video footage of the event posted up on his blog and we met up with Calvin Lee, Jeff Rago, Jonathan Nafarette and Marla Schulman, of Mashcast and a few other Tweeps there to dance or support the event.

The evening ended with a private party hosted by the Jon Lovitz Comedy Club, providing tastey food, great drinks, and a fantastic house band that kept the evening filled with energy and music.
